**Physical**
Canada's physical features vary from booming mountains to the ice cold tundra. There are many different types of physical features that appear in Canada. Pacific Ocean on the west, to the Atlantic Ocean on the east. Northern Canada reaches into the Arctic Circle, while southern Canada stretches below the northern points of the United States.

**Economics-Resources**
Agriculture in Canada is sophisticated and technologicaly advanced. By 1996 one quarter of all Canadian farmers were using computers to harvest their land. Canada is not a huge agriculture land harvester. Today the U.S supplies Canada with roughly around 2/3 of its agriculture imports. Canada is the 5th largest producer of energy. It produces 6% of the Worlds energy. They greatly depend of the use of windmills.
Wind Energy
Wind energy is a huge way that Canada receives energy! It is a great resource to have, because then they don't have to buy it from other countries.
Salmon
Salmon fishing is very popular along Canada's coast. Once again, it is nice that they don't have to import this from other countries. It cuts down the cost and the locals can eat this meat for very cheap.

**Human Geography**
Canada has many different types of mixed culturals. They take advantage of the climate that they live in, that is why hockey is such a populat sport in the Canadian world.
Holiday
A different holiday that Canada has is Canada Day. This day celebrates Canadas freedom and liberty. Many Canadians take pride in celebrating this day.
Food
Salmon is a huge part of the Canadians who live on the coast of Canada. It is so popular, because there is so many salmon along to coast. Salmon is a very healthy food and it is also great tasting.

**Government**
Canada has a very good government. It has very strong democratic traditions, and the Canadians take pride in their liberty and freedom. They aren't controlled by the British or the French, but they have many of the same types of beliefs.
Stephen Harper
Canada has someone called a Prime Minister. Prime Ministers are sort of like our President, they are just called something else. The Canadian citizens do not vote them in, Parliment does. The canidate is required to win a certain number of votes, then, they become Prime Minister. Stephen Harper is the 22 Prime Minister of Canada in the Conservative Party.
Coat of Arms
The Confederation of Canada was created by an Act of the British Parliament and given Royal Assent by Queen Victoria. Each of the four founding provinces were then granted arms by Royal Warrant on May 6, 1868. This document was also assigned to Canada as a whole. The arms of the four provinces quartered together on one shield: Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.

**History**
The French and the British were the first Europeans to settle along the Atlantic coast. Queen Elizabeth was the first to rule Canada. Canada is now currently ruled by many people (it is a free country).

This is the Candian flag they have had this type of flag for a very long time. They started to use this flag on February 15, 1965.
Interesting Story (Ice Strom)
In 1998 there was a huge Ice Storm that paralyzed Quebec and Ontario. The federal government issues a formal apology to native peoples for past injustices like the residential school system. Native loggers protest restrictions in the forests of New Brunswick). Controversy surrounds the Nisga'a treaty, including some measure of self-government. A Human Rights Tribunal concludes that the Public Service Alliance of Canada has a right to call for pay equity.
